Delhi CM Rekha Gupta: Kanwar Committees Will Get Direct Benefit Transfer For Funds Up to Rs. 10 Lakh

Delhi Kanwar Pilgrimage:  Delhi CM Rekha Gupta has announced a historic decision in regards to the annual Kanwar journey during monsoon. She announced that all the Kanwar committees working to facilitate the journey of the Kanwar pilgrimage will get ‘Direct Benefit Transfer’.

The system aims to curb pollution and provide better facilities to Kanwar travelers, the ardent devotees of Lord Shiva.

Gupta approved the Mukhyamantri Dharmik Samiti, under which the government will provide funds up to Rs 10 lakh to registered Kanwar Yatra committees through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).
