Gujarat Floods:  Monsoon is wreaking havoc in Gujarat with heavy rainfall disrupting the lives of residents. Very heavy downpour has led to waterlogging and flood-like conditions, resulting in shut schools, halted public transport, and roads submerged knee-deep.

The India Meteorological Department has issued a red alert in many parts of Gujarat, including Navsari, Valsad, Daman, Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Dwarka, Porbandar, Jamnagar, Rajkot, and especially Surat.

An orange alert has been issued for districts like Panchmahal, Dahod, Vadodara, Narmada, Bharuch, Amreli, Bhavnagar, Gir Somnath, and Diu.

The state government is on high alert, carrying out rescue operations in necessary regions with NDRF and SDRF teams deployed, particularly in red and orange alert zones.
