Pahalgam Terror Attack: Following the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, tensions between India and Pakistan have risen, resulting in various restrictions and strict guidelines for both countries. This scenario has once again impacted airspace. Pakistan has restricted its airspace to Indian planes, causing significant losses for India’s main airlines, particularly Air India. This affects flights from India to Europe, America, and Canada.
According to a report, Air India has issued a letter to the Indian government estimating that closing Pakistani airspace might result in a loss of $591 million (about Rs 50 billion) every year. Air India has proposed that the government create a subsidy plan to address this situation.
