PM Modi Ukraine Visit: During his visit to Ukraine on August 23, Prime Minister Narendra Modi met with President Volodymyr Zelensky and gave the Ukrainian government four BHISHMA (India Health Cooperation Initiative for Benefit and Friendship) cubes. Volodymyr Zelensky, the president of Ukraine, expressed gratitude to the prime minister for the humanitarian aid, which will accelerate the injured’s medical care and save lives. 

What is BHISHMA Cube?

The Bharat Swasthya Praiti Sahyog Hit Aur Maitri, or BHISHMA Cube, represents the friendship and cooperation of India. Bhishma Cubes are small, lightweight medical devices intended for use as first aid kits in an emergency. About 200 patients with a range of emergency medical issues, including burns, bone fractures, hemorrhage, trauma, and more, can be treated by Bhishma Cube. This can be used to complete 10 to 15 surgeries in a single day.
