Rakshabandhan is approaching, the festival is one of the most auspicious Hindu festivals and is focused on strengthening the bond of love between brothers and sisters. But, like every other festival, now Rakhi celebration has also become a state of confusion because of its dates. While some believe it should be celebrated on 30th August, for others its 31 August. Let us tell you the exact date and time when Rakhi will be celebrated.
As per the Hindu calendar, Raksha Bandhan will be celebrated on August 30th this year. However, it's important to remember not to tie the Rakhi during an inauspicious time called Bhadrakal. Thereby, sisters should tie the Rakhi on their brothers' wrists during the auspicious time only, which is post Bhadrakaal.
This should be noted that alongside Purnima, Bhadra will also start. On August 30th, from 10:58 AM to 9:01 PM, there will be an inauspicious time called Bhadra along with the full moon. Also, the Shravan Purnima will end on August 31st at 7:07 AM. The best time for tying the Rakhi on August 30th is from 9:01 PM to 7:05 AM on August 31st.
