Weather Update Today: Since monsoon has arrived in the country, many places are experiencing heavy rainfall, which has led to flood-like situations in North Indian states, including Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh and more. The water level in the river is rising significantly, resulting in devastating situations in hilly areas, sweeping away houses, buildings, and shops in the blink of eye. Furthermore, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a warning for heavy to very heavy rainfall in the month of July, with the possibility of floods and cyclones in the coastal areas. Metropolitan cities, including Delhi-NCR, Mumbai, and Bangalore, are forecast to witness heavy rainfall and waterlogging situations in the coming week.

Delhi-NCR Weather Today

The national capital was once blazing with scorching heat and intense sunlight, however, the arrival of monsoon has given some relief to the citizens. But with this, heavy rainfall has caused waterlogging in many areas, leading to traffic congestion, making it difficult for people to commute to their workplace. According to IMD, light to moderate rainfall is predicted to persist across Delhi-NCR until at least July 6, with temperatures remaining below average. The IMD has predicted mostly cloudy sky with periodic showers and thunderstorms, with maximum temperatures ranging from 31 to 34 degrees Celsius and low temperatures ranging from 24-26 degrees Celsius throughout the week.
