The International Olympic Committee (IOC) recognised 23rd June as the World Olympic Day to commemorate the founding of the modern Olympic movement, dating back to 23 June 1894, in Paris.

Based on the life of Murlikant Petkar, India’s first Paralympic gold medalist, Chandu Champion stars Kartik Aaryan in the lead role of Petkar. Honored with the Padmashree, Petkar won an individual gold medal in the 1972 Summer Paralympics in Heidelberg, Germany.
An ace boxer, Petkar was a Jawan in the Indian Army and got disabled in the 1965 war against Pakistan, which made him turn to sports like swimming and table tennis.
Sania Nehwal created history as the first Indian badminton player to win an Olympic medal.
